Daniel Etiese Bension popularly known as BNXN which he officially changed his stage name from Buju to “BNXN” on the 18 of February 2022, he is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer, born in May 14 1997.

EARLY LIFE

Buju is from Akwa Ibom State, he spent his childhood years in Gbagada with his family but they later moved to Ogun State.  He was born on the 14th day of May, 1997 to the family of Mr. & Mrs. Bension, his birth name is Daniel Bension. He is from a family of three children; Anita Bension, Deborah and himself. Buju lost his mother to cancer and hardly talks about his father in social scenes.

BNXN attended Emerald High School, Lagos, with his siblings. He studied theatre arts at Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State, where he obtained a degree.

Music Career

In February 2018, BNXN released ‘Catch a Vibe’ and ‘A Day in Lagos’, which got much recognition on SoundCloud and Twitter. However, it was the track “Spiritual” that marked his success. Buju being unable to afford a collaboration with Zlatan Ibile, he wisely did an incorporation with Zlatan’s adlibs in a Twitter video which caught the artist’s attention. In June 2019, the collaboration catapulted him into the spotlight.

In 2020, BNXN’s path marched with his idol Burna Boy, and led to the remix of “L’Enu.” Burna Boy didn’t only feature in the song but he also funded the music video, solidifying their collaboration.

On 27 October, 2021, BNXN released the extended play project ‘Sorry I’m Late’, under “To Your Ears Entertainment”.

December 22, 2021, he did a headline on his first sold out concert, which was also his debut concert in Lagos. The event took place at Balmoral Convection center in Lagos State.

In October 2023, BNXN released his debut album, “Sincerely Bension”.
