Early Life And Education
Sulaimon Shekoni Abiola(Khaid) born in Lagos the city of Shibiri-Ojo in a family of 10 children. He attended both is primary and Secondary education in Lagos.
In an interview with Pulse Nigeria, he narrated his little life story some of which included the fact that he was a road side mechanic trying in order to meet ends meet and also support his family and further his music career as music was not paying the bills as at then.He
Career
Khaid started his music career in the street of Ojo. 2021 became his breakthrough year as, Khaid posted a viral freestyle on Instagram that caught the attention of Sydney Talker who then offered him a recording deal in Neville Records as the first artist of the record label with public recognition.
He went on to release his first single “With You” on 28 January 2022, which peaked at number 48 on Nigeria TurnTable chart. the music video which was directed by Olu the Wave, currently has 4 million+ views on YouTube.
He was named Apple Music’s Up Next Artist for Nigeria On the 22 June 2022. On 9 November 2022, he released “Amala”, which was the first song after his viral freestyle on Tiktok. Amala had Zlatan, and Rexxie featuring with their melodious vocals.
