Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael professionally known as ZLATAN is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and rapper. He was born on the 19th day of December, 1994. He is a music superstar who owns a record label called Zanku records and he is also a pioneer of the Zanku movement and dance style.

Early Life

Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, popularly known as Zlatan Ibile is a Yoruba man, an origin of Ekiti State in the Southwest region of Nigeria. He was born on the 19th day of December, 1994. He was born and raised in Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria. Zlatan graduated from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic with a higher national diploma (HND) in Business Administration. Shortly after graduating from polytechnic he dived into music which was in 2011.

He took his stage name “Zlatan” from a popular footballer “Zlatan Ibrahimovic” who is his football icon and “Ibile” in his name is interpreted as “Local”, Zlatan Ibile simply means Local Zlatan. 

Career Journey

In 2014, Zlatan won the “One Mic Campus Tour” which was sponsored by Airtel in Abeokuta, Ogun State. He is also a dancer, MC and performer. His rise to stardom was when he released a single titled “My body” which he featured Olamide in 2017.

 In 2018, one of the co-owner of Alleluyah Boiz Entertainment who is by name Lawrence Irabor signed Zlatan to their record label A.B.E record when he heard the song “I don’t regret signing Zlatan to A.B.E record” in which Zlatan sang with Olamide. Collaborating with Chinko Ekun and Lil Kesh in 2018 to release a single titled “Able God” helped Zlatan to gained more exposure and earned him a spot at the top with millions of views across all streaming platforms.

Zlatan Ibile is one of the artists in Nigeria who rose to fame so fast.

Due to the fact that Zlatan isn’t in any music label at the moment, Gossip has it that Seyi might have signed him into her record label as she was there with him all through the time until he started becoming a star in the music industry. Seyi Awonuga was spotted in a video pleading with the EFCC to release her boyfriend after his arrest alongside Naira Marley.

It’s always difficult to tell the actual worth of Nigerian singers especially when reliable sources like Forbe hasn’t rank them yet. Zlatan is actually doing well, most of his income is from sales of his songs and some endorsement deals.
